Looking for rationale

During the Opium War, the West made drug trafficking legal into China. This generated lots of revenues for the West. During the same war, the alliance that include Britain, France also looted imperial palaces in Chinese capital. I heard two interesting stories
1. Christie House is auctioning some of those stolen Chinese relics, hoping Chinese will pay good prices to buy them back. A thief called you and told you that he can sell you your baby's picutres he took from your house last night and you have to pay a good price. You felt good?
2. The owner of those stolen relics said that Chinese government should move out of Tibet, if Chinese government does that, he will return these goods for free. How many people really understand Tibetan history. Tibet has been an integral part of China as long as the whites took land from the native in North America. Local Tibetans kept more of their own life styles than North American natives can manage.

The West is in mental shambles.
